Wondered if anyone else had similar in there pregnancies...
31 weeks pregnant with dcda twin girls, they have been measuring small (10th percentile) so consultant has been monitoring them, just a bit concerned as I haven’t put on any weight in the past month and in the last week I’ve lost over a lb. I know a lb isn’t a lot it’s just the lack of weight gain which is bothering me. Put on 18lb so far.

I would speak to your mw or the hospital. I noticed I wasn’t gaining and my fundal height dropped off. I remember the mw looking a bit puzzled but didn’t say anything. I wish I’d said something as it was a surprise to find he was only 5.5 lbs at 42 weeks by emcs and below the 0.4 centile. So this time I’m going to question everything. If you’re already being monitored it can’t help
Double check; they’d rather say you’re fine than not.

Thanks for your reply. There estimated weights are 2.8lb and 3lb at the moment. I have a scan in a week or so, I’ll continue to monitor my weight and mention it when I see the consultant next maybe. Just didn’t want them to look at me asif I was stupid

I know they always say better to risk being stupid and safe than not (I made that up but you know what I mean!) they never query a doubt.

Haha yeah I get you. These are my first so don’t have another pregnancy to compare or anything.
Did they say why your baby was so small then? Or just no reason for it?

Not really sure; I had a very small but healthy placenta. I had some thyroid issues earlier in pregnancy too. But the weight loss wasn’t picked up so I will be on it this time!

Yeah I bet you will! I hate feeling this clueless about it all!
