I all. First time pregnancy and now 23 weeks. Due 6 February 2018.

At my 20 week scan, the midwife was quite unconvincing with her gender confirmation. Not sure how normal this is. Thanks to lots of dreams about it being a mistake since, I'd appreciate your expert opinions before I buy any more clothes or paint the nursery!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If it was a standard nhs anomaly scan, they won't say 'yes, defo a boy/girl' etc. If you want confirmation, get a private scan. Don't get any more clothes (you'll be drowning in them when baby arrives) and paint the nursery yellow.

OP, your child has a sex at the moment, but no gender until you decide to dress him/her in blue with cars/pink with bunnies.

You can't tell anything from that picture. You'll have to book a private scan if you want to be sure.

Ok thanks all.

Go for a private scan there so much better and they take there time, they also only tell you what they think it is if they are absolutely sure! They will not guess. I think it looks like a boy. Let us no? Good luck x
