still, got a looooong time before having to worry about that!

strangely enough, i haven't got any other pg symptoms other than tiredness and sickness

Nbg · 10/04/2007 15:00

Yeah me neither!
No aching boobs or anything. I think its the sickness that making me tired tbh.

WOO HOO

I found you both! Sorry, Dad has been here all day, and I was sleeping (oooops!)

Hope you are both ok, hows the sick thing going?

Im feeling a little yuk this afternoon - but i had fried egg rolls at lunchtime, and im not too good with eggs even when not pg!

RE: sex of baby.... i think we will find out this time too. I was always adamant we wouldnt find out as it really is the one last suprise, but financially I think we need to so we can be prepared rather than buy shed loads of cream/yellow/green and then fork out on blue or pink!

JARM · 10/04/2007 16:13

oh and pain relief in labour....

With Jessica I had the works! Epidural was fantastic, but I was induced and the contractions were killing me - plus I had been in since Thursday evening and didnt have her til saturday morning!

With Rebecca, she was a face first back to back baby - nothing like being awkward! I managed to hold out to 6cm before demanding an epidural, as my contractions were 20 seconds apart and lasting 55 seconds each! I was shattered! So lovely guy came and put the needle in my back - for it NOT TO WORK! I managed to get through on the gas and air, and remarkably didnt tear (with either)

Hoping this one is another quick one though - Becca was 7 hours start to finish, so hoping I can get to under 5 hours!!!

Bit worried about what weight this one will be already - Jessica was a lovely 6lbs 6oz, Rebecca was 7lbs 3oz, so looknig like this one might be an 8lber! (I HOPE NOT!)

Nbg · 10/04/2007 16:37

lol JARM.

Weight thing I'm not sure on. Everyone said I was bigger with ds. DD was 7lb 3oz and DS was 8lb 7oz but I dont know if thats a boy girl thing.

JARM · 10/04/2007 17:01

OUCH!

8lbs 7!!!! You deserve a medal!

Yokefleet · 10/04/2007 19:08

(sorry for hijack!) jarm Congratulations
Love from Hannah & Thomas (Oct 05 thread)

JARM · 11/04/2007 05:55

Thanks Yoke!

How are you all doing? Ive been awake since 5am with excutiating wisdom tooth pain, this is not fun in pregnancy as all I have in the house is Ibuprofen, and I dont think you can take that in pregnancy!

I also dont have a dentist, because I am shit scared of them, they terrify me beyond belief.

What am I going to do - got the in-laws and nieces coming to stay tomorrow for the weekend and I feel so crap!

Oh and Im feeling sick again..... even with seabands!

skirmish · 11/04/2007 08:19

morning jarm...just what you need eh?! my wisdom teeth have been 'coming thru' for a good ten years now and only one of the buggers is totally thru...they tend to flare up when i'm feeling a bit under the weather. Most times it seems to be that a piece of food has got caught - give them a really good scrub with an electric toothbrush, they might bleed a lot so be warned, and it will hurt like hell, but might feel better afterwards!

skirmish · 11/04/2007 08:21

8lb7oz...hats off to you nbg! i thought it was bad having a 6lb 15oz! and he gave me a 2nd degree tear!!

Nbg · 11/04/2007 15:07

8lb 7 isnt that bad!
Could have been 11lb er like Kirsty Allsop off Location!

JARM, what a PITA with your teeth. Eat some ice cubes to numb the pain.

OP posts:
JARM · 11/04/2007 15:42

Read on tinternet you CAN take ibuprofen in pregnancy, they just prefer not to give it lasty trimester, so took 2 at 10am and the pain has gone - for now!

Anyone with an 8lb plus baby deserves a medal in my book!

Nbg · 11/04/2007 15:47

Oh glad your pain free. Its bloody unfair to have to have sickness and toothache at the same time.

Lol at 8lb babies. Could be you next!!!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 11/04/2007 15:55

Nbg · 11/04/2007 15:58

PeckaRolloverAgain · 11/04/2007 18:42

I dont normally do this honestly haha

can you send it again tonight and I will look out for it.

When I get it I will create a rule to put you in my doula folder when it comes so it doesnt happen again

skirmish · 12/04/2007 08:04

morning...

Jarm - glad to hear the tooth is feeling better - our dentist always recommends rinsing your mouth out with dispersable asprin as well (which should be fine in pg, cos you are not swallowing it as such)Forgot to tell you that bit yesterday

Nbg - are you enjoying having your mum and grandma down? I'm hoping they are giving you a well-deserved break and letting you put your feet up and eat biscuits all day!!

Sickness coming and going here - think i will get some seabands today, even if it's psychological, i don't want to feel like i'm going to throw up on the aeroplane (god, how embarrassing if i did?!!)

Nbg- i'm really sorry, i haven't posted the shoes yet, hopefully i will do it tomorrow as i'm off to shops this morning (big post office full of weirdos so avoid it like the plague) and my local post office has half day thurs. I will get them sent before i leave on sunday

hope everyone has a good day - sorry it's a long one, bit bored !

Nbg · 14/04/2007 06:34

Bleurghhhhhhhhhhh

I foooking hate being pregnant. I feel so sick all the time now. It didnt go at all on Thursday.
My mums been fab though and let me go back to bed on a morning till lunch time as ds is waking up at ridiculous times in the night.
Only problem is, because I can't eat while I'm sleeping, I'm waking up straight away with the sickness.

Skirm, dont worry about the shoes. I think you have enough on atm getting ready for your holiday. If I dont chat to you again. Have a great time and I hope the sickness doesnt cause problems for you.

Jarm, hope your ok too and your keeping the sickness at bay.
Just a question, are you taking your bands off at all? Mine say on the box not to wear them all the time but I havent had them off during the day at all!

Pecka, you nightmare!!!! Took me forever to write that email, lol!
Will do it again this morning if I can.

OP posts:
skirmish · 14/04/2007 07:55

blimey nbg, you're up early today!!! (though i expect it's ds rather than you!)

posted shoes yesterday, 2nd class, so will hopefully reach you monday/tuesday. Forgot to put a note in and say that if you don't want them, either give them away or sell them yourself!

went to get sickness bands, but only had kiddie sizes...now, my wrists are small, but not that small!!

feeling ok now though, find the nausea comes and goes in really big waves, so one minute feel fine, and the next, i have to rush to the door to get some fresh air

skirmish · 14/04/2007 09:04

have seen you kurking about nbg, but dont want to have to chase you down on another thread

skirmish · 14/04/2007 09:04

Nbg · 14/04/2007 10:03

Awww thanks Skirmy
