C section date given?

Hi there.
I am 36 weeks plus 5 days and today I have been seen a consultant and both agreed on a c section.
She told me I would be phoned and told a date two days before!
Does anybody know if this is correct or will it be sooner? I'm desperate to know the date so I can plan my life a little and also get very excited about the day!!!!!
I've read a few other posts saying the got the date at 32-36 weeks. Obviously I've had mine planned a lot later.
Just want people to tell me when they got there's and if anybody had there date given two days before?

Mine was booked in by my consultant at my 32 week appointment, it's booked for the day I am 39 weeks. I believe 39 weeks is the standard & they don't like to do planned ones earlier unless there is a significant medical risk which makes thus necessary. I had pre-eclasmpsia ending in a very early emcs in my first pregnancy so i am classed as high risk & being consultant led this time. I would think it depends if you are midwife or consultant led as to who you could contact for more information but if you have been advised they will only let you know 2 days beforehand I guess that is your hospitals standard procedure? Maybe it differs depending on which hospital/trust you are with. I agree with other pp's that it shouldn't affect your dh's paternity leave. If you were to go into labour & have a vb they wouldn't get any notice & so should be used to fathers to be taking paternity leave a the drop of a hat.

With my first they wouldn't give me a date and just left me hanging. Pre-eclampsia had its way and I was kept in unexpectedly and had my section the next day. Hadn't even packed my bags!

With my third I was given a date at 4w and 4days! I was very organised that time.

The first time was so frustrating as they wouldn't even give a rough idea.
