40+2 and royally fed up. Sat at home alone and dont feel i can now go too far. Failed s+s last Wednesday. Literally no idea what to do for what could be another week and aware i am now being a bit of bitch to DH.

Pretty much constant period pains for 2 weeks. Baby is very low. Being woken up in the night by 'contractions' which amount to nothing since the 11th. No plug, no show.

Tried rlt, abit of nipple stimulation, walking, bouncing, gardening, pineapple......is there anything else?? Or what the hell do i do to cheer up. Nursery, batch cooking etc all done.

Posting on this thread because it seems to magically bring on labour and I'm desperate! (Congratulations Gimble - just saw your post in the October thread...)

I have also had no signs whatsoever and am 40+4 now. Had a failed sweep as cervix is apparently not playing ball according to the midwife. Not sure I can take another 10 days of this before my booked induction... I don't have the energy or patience to do any of the "enjoy the peace and quiet before the baby comes" crap as I can't sleep and my hips are constantly killing me! Argh!

Thanks @krakentoast! It was dtd with DP that got things moving in the end I think, can’t say it was our most romantic romp but we had a laugh and it did the job!

Hi @krakentoast, any sign of baby yet? Did the magic inducing thread work?!

OriginalMoo · 25/10/2017 11:47

This is now me! 40+2 and nada. ☹ This is baby 4 & I naively hoped that as ds was early, dd1 was late and dd2 was on time I might at least have been showing signs. Birthing ball is helping relieve hip pain...until I stand up...but still nothing happening.

I'm with you OP!!

I'm 41 weeks tomorrow with DS2 & losing the will to live! I was so convinced I would go early but literally had no signs!

Had my first sweep earlier on in the week which has amounted to nothing & I have another tomorrow, which I'm preying will help but if I'm honest I'm not holding out much hope. Im feeling very disheartened at the moment!

Luckily I have my mum staying so she is keeping DS1 entertained while it's half term which is a good job really as husband has returned to work so as not to waste his holidays/ paternity leave.

To top it off my feet & ankles are so swollen & sore that I pretty much can't leave the house as they just need rested constantly.

I'm booked in to be induced next Tuesday which I'm really upset about as I really wanted to go naturally! Yesterday afternoon I got in the bath & just cried as I'm feeling so miserable! Sad

OriginalMoo · 27/10/2017 09:37

@2ndtimemum Had my 1st sweep yesterday as head is finally engaged, but nothing more than some irregular twinges. They'll do a second sweep next week at 41+3 if still no sign of bubba and book induction for the following week. This makes me sad as I also want a natural birth/labour. So I totally empathize with you on this one.

@GimbleInTheWabe Yes, baby girl arrived safely two days after my post! So I wasn't pregnant forever after all... and I've been a bit busy since then Wink

Good luck to those still waiting!
