I had a completely flat tum before. But I used to bloat sometimes where I'd look 9 months pregnant! Everyone's been telling me i won't show til about 6 months, so I don't quite believe it could be a bump Hmm (first pregnancy so forgive me if its obvious)

I bloated a lot in my first pregnancy in the first trimester. I'm now in second pregnancy and again I look huge in the first trimester. I found last time it settled down by the second trimester.

orangeowls · 17/09/2017 14:44

I had a bump by 14 weeks, so much so that someone guessed from my bump.

orangeowls · 17/09/2017 14:45

It never got any smaller again so I don't think it was bloating

PinkHippo1 · 17/09/2017 14:46

That's just what I looked like at 13 weeks. I had a flat tummy before pregnancy but I showed very quickly. There was no hiding it by 14 weeks, and I've had a big bump (but slim everywhere else) all the way through. This is my first baby too and I know they say you show later with your first, but I guess we're all different. I actually really like my bump and I love it when people say "ooh you're all baby"

TheNewMrs · 17/09/2017 14:47

Could be the start of a bump if you're into your second trimester OP?

I've no idea though, almost 9 weeks pregnant with my first and the bump (bloat!) on me is ridiculous! Looks like a very pregnant belly and I'm struggling to hide it, I really hope it goes down soon.

mintich · 17/09/2017 15:09

I looked like that at 13 weeks

starsshinebright · 17/09/2017 17:31

This is my 12 week bump/ bloat. I've read that although a proper bump isn't normally obvious until 16-20 weeks you obviously start growing from earlier on.

Fuck I'm only 7wks tmw and look like That!!Grin stuck in leggings or wide leg elasticated trousers cos daren't try my skinny jeans!!

RedBlackberries · 17/09/2017 20:16

Blump! If you were flat tummied before that's definetly pregnancy. I'm looking very bloated at 9 weeks (2nd pregnancy).

Pippin1981 · 23/04/2020 22:38

I feel huge at 13 + 2, this is my first pregnancy too.
Feel like I’m gonna get huge!! Shock

Kendrick12 · 23/04/2020 22:44

This is me at 12 weeks exactly! It is my 4th pregnancy but I don't know how much of mine is bloating/ lockdown over eating!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

It's hard to tell the difference in the first trimester but one good indication is if it is still there when you wake up in the morning!
I used to wake up with a fairly flat stomach but then it would get bigger and rock solid as the day went on and really did look like a bump. The next morning it would be gone again.
A baby bump will be there morning, noon and night and won't really fluctuate as the day goes on.

Me at 11 weeks!! Third baby, usually quite flat stomach, it seems as soon as I took my test I had a bump 😂 most likely bloat etc I didn't show like this until 20 weeks with my other two!

denbyellie · 24/04/2020 01:41

To tell difference between bump and bloat I always used to breathe in, it it's still there and quite Hardish it's bump, if not it's bloat, I was so so so bloated through the first trimester and everyone used to comment on my bump i just went along with it 😂 xx

FirstTimeBumps · 24/04/2020 06:51

I showed early lasy pregnancy. So much so one of the lads in work patter my bump and said "what's this" the day before we had the scan 😑 he went home feeling very guilty 🤣 but apparently before we announced it my mum had thought to herself if she didn't know better she'd say I was pregnant. Same situation this time round. I look far to pregnant for 14 weeks 🙈. Like others my "bloat" didn't go down if that's what it was. Baby or bloat be proud of your pregnancy bump x
