Hi Everyone!

Just looking for some reassurance that all is normal/OK.
I'm 13 + 1 today. Had my scan Monday and all was well. I've had constipation the past couple of weeks which I've been trying to sort by taking fibogel and skipping my vitamin. I've had a couple of occasions where I've had the most horrendous stomach cramps I want to cry.
So last night I was woken about 3am with severe cramps. I managed to pass a small stool. Half an hour later I had watery diarrhoea. I also had a bit of spotting of blood (deffo not from the back passage). Sorry for the too much information. Anyone else having a nightmare which their bowels? And why the blood? I had some brown blood day after scan randomly, which I told myself was nothing and to remain calm. This blood was minimal but red. Should I call and ask advice from midwife or does this all sound normal?

I would be inclined to think the blood ws from a tear that can easily happen when constipated. I'm 31 weeks and I've gone from constipated to diareah several times trying to find a happy medium through diet - prunes, loads of water, veg/general varied diet but it's a bit up and down not helped by the fact that I'm now on iron tablets. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that it could be absolutely normal due to your hormones changing. If you are worried the cramping isn't related to your constipation then do phone for advice

Sorry your saying not from back passage in that case I'd phone just for advice x

Thanks @Sakura03 that all is very reassuring. The blood this morning was barely anything. I've been again and there was nothing. Might just keep an eye on it and call later if I get anymore.

Not long for you now ☺️ Is this your first?
