Early Symptoms - Frequent Urination

Hi all,

I'm probably just being a worry wart but wanted to double check.

I am about 6-10 weeks pregnant (due to have a private scan tomorrow to confirm dates) and have a lot of the pregnancy symptoms. Large and sore breasts, stomach cramps etc.

However I usually have a weak bladder and so urinate often. Since finding out I am pregnant I have found that I am hardly going to the toilet. I was a bit worried as I know frequent urination is a symptom, yet I seem to have the opposite.

Anyone else in the same boat, or able to offer any advise to put my mind at rest.

Thanks all, and apologies if this is a silly question.

I had all the same symtoms as you and I didn't pee a lot in the first trimester which I also thought the same but now my god im forever at the loo!

Frequent urination doesn't happen until your uterus expands and begins squishing your bladder. For me it was around 20 weeks that I began to go a lot more. Don't worry yet OP and congratulations on your pregnancy. Wink

Thanks ladies.

That has definitely put my mind at rest. Think I am driving my boyfriend mad with all my worries but I guess that is normal especially for a 1st pregnancy.

I shall just enjoy this time, before I am constantly needing the toilet. Ha.
