Going into labour with your DC around

Has this happened to you? I just can't imagine I ever will. I'm looking after them full time as have stopped work and it's holidays and I just can't see myself going into labour while I'm looking after them. It's making me nervous to be honest that I'll go massively over and have to be induced!

I went into labour at 4.30am my son woke up but I put him back to bed and my brother came to look after him while my mum took me to the hospital, just make sure friends/family know if they get a call from you to answer it. I did it that if I text first before I rang nothing was wrong was just a general chat but if I called straight away to answer x

I went into labour at 10pm when my 3yo was asleep. My mum came to look after him so he didn't even know what was happening until the next morning...

I went into labour on a Saturday morning when my husband was home, DH fixed him lunch and we cuddled on sofa and watched finding nemo until nanny came and collected him. Good luck

With my last baby - My waters popped on the kitchen floor while I was alone with my 2 DC, I was making their dinner at the time
I couldn't get hold of DP who was on the train home with no signal so I rang my Mum who was halfway to dinner with friends and apparently she did a very illegal u-turn and got to me within about 20 minutes
I finished making the kids dinner before she got there and cleaned the floor, it was fine

With the one before that I went into labour around 9am whilst alone with my 1 year old, no-one came to be with me until around 2pm and by then I was quite literally on my knees in the living room with DS1 bouncing around me, he was trying to climb on my back at one point - that was pretty stressful tbh

My labour started at 8am. I had a "show" but my waters never broke without being ruptured. I got dc1 up and gave breakfast while trying to hide my reaction to my contractions. Rang the unit and went in a while later with my Dad. Met DH there because he came from work. Dc2 was born 6 hours later. Had some time together after the birth. Had tea and toast. DH went home to put Dc1 to bed. I was taken up to the antenatal ward.
