Is anyone else single and pregnant?

I separated from my partner in the very early stages of pregnancy. I don't want him to be involved at all due to previous emotional abuse.
I'm currently renting a room, and have no idea what I'm going to do long term.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

I didn't want your post to go unanswered. I had my second child whilst single (DH had an affair & we split). I'm pregnant with my 3rd now with NM.

Have you got a good best friend in RL? My best friend came to my scans and was there at the birth. I'm sure people thought we were a couple but we always had fun. It's hard but I did it (and raised both kids as a LP for 10 years). The 3 of us are so close & have a fantastic bond.

Welcome to PM me x

I'm also single and pregnant! Just gone 7 weeks. My ex wanted to be involved and now doesn't want to know until the baby arrives - informed me of this by text on Tuesday, so it's all very up and down for me too.

My family live in another country and I work from there one week a month as my mother is in the moderate stages of Alzheimer's. Just trying to get my head around everything right now

Thank you both.

I don't have anyone close enough in real life to support, I've so far got through everything myself. I'm thinking of hiring a doula for the birth so I'm not alone.

It's so shit, this baby was planned and I never thought I would be doing this alone.

That feeling of being alone is horrible - and creeps up on you at times. Sometimes I'm feeling okay and strong; other times I feel really lonely and scared.

When are you due?

I know what you mean, sometimes I feel like I can conquer the world other times I just want to lay in bed and cry! Pregnancy hormones probably don't help either.

I'm due in March 2019, so still early days! Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I'm getting to the stage where I'm worrying about where I'm going to live, how I'm going to afford anything ect. So stressful!

I'm due April 2018 so not long after you! Congratulations to you, too Flowers

I'm having a 'hiding away in bed' day - except it's not really possible! Went for lunch with my parents earlier and all around me I could see young families with mums, dads and children which made me feel really alone.

I'm also thinking about where to live and finances etc. We will figure it out
