I am 6+5 and so far everything has been fine - strong dark lines on tests, morning sickness, tiredness, definite symptoms.

Only suddenly tonight I have really bad cramping and discharge (clear). I feel like such a twat as I was going to wait till 7/8w to ring the MW, but I wss too excited and cracked and did it today.

Now I have a booking in appt but scared I have jinxed it. Tell me I'm an idiot and you can have bad cramping and it all be okay....

I had cramps for a couple of days very early on - I've made it to 40 weeks and all was fine, it could be implantation cramps and your body settling ready to grow the baby? Don't worry too much and see how it goes. Especially if you're not having any clotting or similar I'm sure it'll be okay Flowers

Cramps are really common and feeling as if your period is imminent is also quite normal.

I've miscarried twice and once I had a constant low down ache that wasn't like normal cramps and the other time I had no pain at all. I've also got two children and had horrific cramps with both. With one of my successful pregnancies I cried because I was certain I was miscarrying due to such bad cramping but it turned out to just be a uti that I didn't have any other symptoms of.

I had bad cramps....I was carrying twins Shock

It's highly likely the cramps are just wind! I've had them on and off since the morning I found out this time (11 weeks now) and they were even worse with my 1st.

2furbabies, you sound like you might have a condition called SPD. Call your midwife and ask for a physio referral as unfortunately it'll only get worse. I ended up on crutches from 36 weeks, probably because I left it so late to do anything about it.

Cramping is common. The placenta starts forming don't forget and the villi invade the wall of the uterus as it's how it contacts the mothers blood to feed, water and help grow your baby

You'll get all sorts of weird pains which your midwife will help you understand, when your uterus is growing and ligaments stretching I recall it feeling g like I was being stabbed up through my groin ... horrible thoughts were going through my head but I heard this is a typical type of pregnancy pain

Good luck with your baby 👶🏻

I had slight cramping early on... I wouldn't worry to much it is perfectly normal. Your body is adjusting to help you grow your little one 😀

Sluttybartfast · 04/08/2017 08:02

Unless you're actually bleeding I'd view that as more of a positive sign than a negative one. It suggests growing and bedding in.

MaryShelley1818 · 04/08/2017 08:08

I had really bad cramping for about 2-3wks. Worse than any period cramps.
I'm now 21wks :)

Frazzled2207 · 04/08/2017 08:10

I had cramps at about 7 weeks and demanded to be scanned by the EPU. Teeny bean seen with a heartbeat, all was well, he's now 2.
Completely normal to be freaking out though especially if it's your first pregnancy. Hope the midwife is reassuring.
In those first few weeks I did get a lot of "uterus stretching" cramps. And discharge.

Megha22 · 04/08/2017 08:53

Currently 20 weeks and and having severe cramps! After that i got convinced i will get my AF, but somehow i sailed through, i learnt that the cramps are a part of it and something that is hard to avoid, brace yourself and you shall get through this.

Much love :)

I had major cramps with all 3 of mine. I'm sure I read somewhere that even thought it's the tiniest fleck early on, your insides start 'loosening up' as it were from quite early on, hence cramps.

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 04/08/2017 10:37

Aw, thanks all. It actually isn't DC1 but I don't remember this from before.

Anyhow cramps have faded this morning and I've just been unable to keep water down (!) so I am guessing those are good signs.....

Roll on 12w though!!
