12 week scan today and terrified....

My 12 week scan is today and I'm so nervous I actually feel like I could vomit. I had a mmc this time last year found at my 12 week scan and it was completely unexpected. Even more nervous as I've had really mild symptoms towards the beginning this time round, and I haven't had any symptoms for weeks apart from very mild breast tenderness.
Is there anybody else who has their scan today or this week and is feeling the same?

Courage, dear heart! I feel you. Anyone who's had the very worst news at a scan would. But in all likelihood everything will be absolutely fine and you'll be on such a massive high afterwards. I was so utterly terrified at my 12 week that they couldn't take my blood pressure. Thankfully the sonographer was sympathetic and within the first 30 seconds said: "Here's the baby, and here's the heartbeat, congratulations." Do let them know you're nervous. Best of luck! x

I couldn't read and run. It is a long time since I had my 2 but had a mmc before each so I can remember feeling the same before the second scans. Try taking some deep breaths in for a count of 4 and out breaths for a count of 6, if this feels comfortable it should help to calm you. Or make yourself a hot drink and read or listen to some favorite music to distract yourself.

I've been for the scan...and oh my god I was so scared. I was so convinced something bad had happened, but here they are...Im so relieved! I wonder if it's a boy or girl?!

After 3 MC (the first one being a MMC) I was in the waiting room, eyeing the exit (DH was late) , feeling like throwing up on the floor of the hospital, and considering pulling a runner. Well I stayed there was a heartbeat, DH turned once it was all over (I think he showed up on time only once for the scans) and some time later my adorable DC showed up! Congratulations on your pregnancy !
