Hello, I'm going on holiday next month I'll be 17weeks I'm a size 6-8 normally so petite I'm wondering whether I'll need a maternity swimming costume or not by then :/ any advise?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I went on hols at 26 weeks pregnant and just wore a bikini. I did have to buy a new one as my boobs had grown. My bump was only just noticeable but could have passed as just a bit overweight!

I'd go to a shop and try a few on in a larger size, that's what I did at 20 weeks and they fit perfectly (wasn't confident enough in a bikini pre pregnancy so stuck with tankinis).

It all depends on how big your bump is now, some maternity ones might be a bit baggy?

I'd try some different options on and go with what feels comfortable, it'll be cheaper than shelling out on maternity wear.
The only caveat I would add is if you were wanting to use it throughout your pregnancy, then I'd be tempted with a maternity one that would 'grow' with me.

Also, I left it until the last minute to get mine, a couple of weeks before and I could have stuck to my normal size, but then at 19 weeks a bump just appeared! Shock

Hi I'm 18 weeks and barely have a "bump" as such just looking fatter lol but.. my boobs are huge! So take the fact that your boobs may grow a lot, Ive had to buy new bikinis for my holiday next month size 34DD, before hand I was in 8/10 B/C cup bikinis.. so big change. I did buy one maternity swimsuit from Next and it fits perfectly.. it it's flexible for whatever bump size. Have a lovely time.

I went away at 20 weeks and bought a maternity cozzie, but I reckon looking back I could have got away with wearing a normal one in a size up. I wasn't that big really! Have a little shop around, it depends on the size of your bump. You might be able to get away with the next size up, or a bikini.

I went away at 17 weeks and just wore my normal bikini, my boobs were quite, well, I'm normally a 28DD but I was almost overfilling a 32DD, if I'd have taken a string adjustable one it would have been fine though.

I bought a maternity swimsuit when I was pregnant as I swim all the time. I pretty much never used it except maybe the last few weeks. I never grew into it - I'm petite like you.

I bought one yesterday from Asda! I'm going away when I'll be 19/20 weeks. It fits really well & was only £14!!!!
