I can't seem to find it now but I read somewhere on here about having a small box full of things to have to hand when you are up feeding in the night, I remember as well as nappies and wipes it had energy snacks etc for mum and some other items. I would love to put one together for my daughter so can anybody remember what to put in the box please?

Deffo night light. We bought one of those battery powered push lamp things from a £ shop! Nice and dim.

Your box sounds like a fabulous idea. What a lovely Mum you are.
Magazines and books are great. I read a lot while BFing. You could also pop in a good box set for day time feeding

This is not for the box, but if you want to give your DD useful things for after baby is born, I found that baby shampoo was excellent to use as a shower gel immediately after birth when you are too sore for anything else.

How about a book such as "NCT Breastfeeding for Beginners". It could be useful as a reliable first port of call for difficulties or questions. It obviously does not overcome all of the problems or barriers mothers face, but I found it very helpful.

Somebody said phone battery pack - I bought 3x 3m charging cables for around the house...a godsend

Has she a breastfeeding cushion? A kindle?

I do a similar box for friends who are expecting, a friend did one for me and it was invaluable... I usually include:
Hand cream
Lip balm
Hair bobble
Nice water bottle
Snacks, whatever is their favourite things
Magazine
Tissues
baby wipes
Notebook and pen
Portable phone charger and cable
Mini bottle of prosecco

And then suggest they add kindle, tv remote, cuppa in insulated mug etc.

I tend to use a pretty small wicker basket. It was then easy to grab before feeding, and DS would often check it was topped up before going out to work etc. I still have mine in the living room with wipes, pens, and other useful things in it!! Here's a pic of the last one I did...

Mug cakes! Which I've never had. I just really like the sound of them.
