Do your children look like each other, do your children look more like you or father?

I have 2 daughters, one is pale skin, freckles like me and the other is more darker in skin like my husbands side. At times they do resemble each other.

I look very much like my sibling.

Mine look like each other and like we did at their age but not like we do now. Both have white blonde hair and light blue eyes and we don't.

Ds has very mad curly hair and that skipped two generations.

They are 15 months apart and people think they're twins.

I've got twins and they don't look alike at all. Different body shape, height, colouring.

If I had a £1 for every time someone has said 'they don't look like twins'......

DS1 looks like a mixture of me & my DH's brother.
DS2 looks most like his dad.
DS3 looks like a mixture of his older brothers.
They are similar in colouring and it's obvious they are siblings.

I have 5 children (one sadly died before birth) but they don't look much like each other. Two with ginger hair, one blonde, one dark hair, one light brown hair. Two with glasses and two with some freckles but none with matching combinations, IYKWIM As DD2 gets older she looks more like DS1 but I think that's just the hair.

DD1 was once mistaken for someone elses child on a plane as she looked so different from the others.

I know families with 3/4 daughter who all look exactly the same. I also know families with different dads but who still look the same

Ds 1 and ds2 look like opposite ends of the family tree - ds3 is a mixture of both of them. It's very strange - the face shape of one but features of another.

My three are the spit of each other. Even down to the fact they all wear glasses (neither DH or I do)

However none of them look anything like me or DH

Dd and ds are polar opposites.

Dd has olive skin and dirty blonde hair and is the double of me ( if you show people a childhood photo of me they think it's dd)

Ds is very pale and fair haired and looks nothing like me but is the double of his dad ( uncanny resemblance apart from his dad is dark not fair haired )

Dd and ds don't have the same dad if that makes a difference.

I have 3 - girl, boy, girl. Dd1 is my absolute spitting image (poor thing), ds is beginning to look more like me now, and dd 2 is basically morphing into her big sister!!

I've got 4. Ds1 and 2 are both really alike and look like their dad. Dd1 looks more like me but with her dad's colouring dd2 is my mini me and has my colouring. I have 2 with brown eyes and 2 with blue eyes. But they all definitely look alike.

Hi, I have 2 dd's who look sort of alike if you take their hair off. Dd1 looks like me, pale skin, blue eyes & blonde where as dd2 looks like her dad, dark hair, green eyes and tanned looking. From the side they look identical but from the front they look different.
Pregnant with our third dd and wondering if she'll be a mix of them both or again look totally different. All have the same dad they just don't look particularly alike

Mine look the same as each other. One girl, one boy so obviously they'll grow out of looking so similar, but in baby/toddler pictures you could easily mix them up.

My sister and I also look very much like each other. My uncle has all my sister's primary school pictures on his wall: one from each year, so 7 in total. One of them is actually me!

1 looks like me and the other like the father. I'm told they look alike.
I look very like my sibling.

Ds1 looks like my brother
Ds2 looked like Dh mother
Ds3 looks like my other brother

My DS from a previous relationship and dd from dh look very alike both blonde haired blue eyed small features and my DS is the complete double of dh red hair only he has blue eyes not brown like dh.

Haha @NellieFiveBellies, me and my sister are very alike when we are chubbier, ha.

Just getting the chance to read all your comments, it's cool, my oldest also resembles my little cousin a lot.

Dd1 looks like her dad.
Dd2 and Ds look like me.

This actually is a bone of contention in our house as my in laws comment at least once a year that the younger 2, 'can't be his' as they are nothing like him. Then they burst out laughing, like it's the funniest joke in the world.

I meanwhile want to stab them repeatedly. How rude!!

DS1 and DS2 are both carbon copies of DH!

DS looks like someone cloned DP, DD looks like my DP had a child with my sister, who doesn't look like me...which is a bit odd, lol.

I am told frequently that DS1 looks exactly like DH and that DS1 and DS2 look alike.

My first dd is a mixture of us, ds is a mini dh and youngest dd so far looks so much like ds and dh.

No kids but my sister and I didn't look similar at all as kids. Yet now people say we look like twins - my friends threw me a surprise party a while back and apparently people who hadn't met my sister were panicking that I was already at the party
