Worth a phonecall or timewaster?

Im 26 weeks and constantly exhausted. As in no energy to even stand up! When i do get moving im out of breath, keep feeling dizzy and at work on friday as i was walking my vision completely went and im surprised i didnt faint. My boss saw and made me sit down for a bit, tried to send me home but its a 40 minute drive and i didnt feel it was safe. I thought the weekend may help but i still just feel drained. My poor toddler has been neglected all weekend, playing games that allow me to sit down like jigsaws and picnics with teddies. Is this a phase that will pass or is it worth a phone call? See midwife mid july

Could you be anaemic? Definitely worth getting checked out.

heavenlypink · 25/06/2017 17:05

Make a phone call - Peace of mind if nothing else. Although the blurry vision thing does worry me

YerAWizardHarry · 25/06/2017 17:07

I had low blood pressure while pregnant and experienced the same symptoms.

toffeeboffin · 25/06/2017 17:08

Phone call

DancingLedge · 25/06/2017 17:09

Definitely needs checking out. Phone your midwife?

Yolannnda · 25/06/2017 17:12

I was very faint through pregnancy and actually passed out twice. Its very common as is the feeling exhausted. Do you have the contact number for Day Assessment? Id just give them a call tommorow and they will either reassure you or ask you to come in for a check up.

Thanks. Hate to feel like a timewaster! Yes i think last time i was anaemic i felt like this actually!

I'm 30 weeks and was feeling exactly the same. My 28 week bloods showed I was anaemic. So could be low iron - worth giving your midwife a call to see if you can have some bloods taken x

Unless you're calling over a broken nail, I don't think expectant women can ever be time wasting! The midwives I've spoken to have always, always encouraged me to call and check rather than sit, worry and possibly miss something. I agree it sounds like you could be anaemic. Easily addresses but definitely needs looking at. Don't feel bad about calling, they won't mind

Definately go the doctors. You may need an inhaler for the breathlessness, it doesn't get better until you give birth, believe me!
I had dizzyness when I hadn't eaten and drunk enough, or was overdoing things.

Sounds just like the symptoms I had when anemic. Call your gp and book a blood test (or your midwife could probably do it)

I had bloods done yesterday and they said I am borderline anaemic ie on the very lower limit of not anaemic so they wont treat it but i still feel horrendous! Think i may buy myself some iron tablets and see if i feel better what do you think? Ive also taken a few days off work to see if that helps. Yesterday afternoon i napped for 3 hours then slept 10 hours last night straight through as well i havent done that for over 2 years since i was last pregnant!!
