Infection or Preeclampsia?

Just wondered on some advice. I was checked at hospital as I was having some ligament pain after a panic attack and my tests came back showing some concerns.

I had raised white blood cells, protein 1+ in urine and high blood pressure (on electronic but lower on manual).

I need to go back on Monday for repeat tests but just wondered if anyone else had been here?

In myself I'm Ok, not poorly and some swelling but put that down to heat. Also started getting breathless but again I thought that was heat and normal.

I'm 23 weeks

Did they take PIH bloods....I would assume they did and if they didn't say anything like your creatinine levels were raised it's unlikely to be pre eclampsia.

Raised white cells indicate an infection and protein can show up if you have a uti.

Just keep going back for repeat tests when they ask you so it can be monitored. I had pretty dramatic PE from 26 weeks just out of nowhere but if they are concerned they whip you into hospital really quickly. That's the danger of PE though, you feel fine usually that's why monitoring is so important. Try not to worry, even though I had it I carried until 32 weeks and ds is 16 and 6 foot 2 now Smile

I had many tests for pre eclampsia from 24 weeks as I had headaches high blood pressure, swelling protein and odd blood results etc they were always convinced it was pre eclampsia but the final blood tests whatever they tested for were always fine. They had me on the labour ward at 27 ready to get the baby out and even kept me in for a week after I had had my baby as they were still convinced I was going to get it (apparently possible??) I was finally induced at 37 weeks for being generally useless at being pregnant but never actually got pre eclampsia. Hope it's all ok and sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you.

Just had follow up appointment. Blood pressure High, blood 2+ and protein 1+. Creatine ratio in bloods is 27.1 so as long as that doesn't get to 30 they will just monitor.
Not a UTI by the looks of it but they will test again in a week to keep an eye
