Hi can I join I'm nearly 30 weeks with my 2nd,I've got a 4 year old daughter born February 2013 and this baby is a boy. Due end August but he's breech and I've got a fibroid the size of a humans head in my bump so it's looking like I'll hopefully be early and given a planned C section ! (Really hope so)

I'm so itchy sticking and sore, but have invested in some maternity shorts which are comfy. ( I never wear shorts normally but and not fussed with my mahoosive bump on show. Im so lazy haven't done any pre pregnancy prep for myself, I can barely shave my legs.
Apparently stretch marks are hereditary? My mum and sister didn't have them either and I didn't the first time but I did lather myself in stretch mark oil the first time. Every one said a summer birth is bloody uncomfortable! Big up you ladies doing a commute, I'm a childminder so I choose where we go and what we do. ( I've recently got a little car so can drive out and about but annoyingly the air conditioning is broken but hopefully it can be sorted)

Lots of ice lollies and calming thoughts lovelies xx take care x

Can I join too please? Im 30 weeks tomorrow! 5 weeks left at work, but dreading it if this heat carrys on!

MissBax · 18/06/2017 08:45

Welcome newbies!!
How are you all coping in this heat? I sit on the couch in the evening with my feet in cold water, and have to take a wet towel to bed with me - OH is sleeping in the spare room, bless him!
Erny - she just said that most 1st babies go overdue and to expect about a week after due date. Is that not true? I did wonder!

Hi everyone, can I join? Am 32 weeks today with my first (a girl)
This is my last week at work. It seemed like a good idea to go off early but now it's come around I'm feeling fine apart from the tiredness (lots of night time loo trips and restless legs) and feel like I should work a few more weeks. I'm too fed up with work and lazy to actuallychange my dates though. And although my commute is only half an hour by bus it's not much fun. I've been bringing an ice pack from the freezer with me to keep on my pulse points which helps.
My DH is also in the spare room most nights, figured at least one of us should get undisturbed sleep while we can!

Hi everyone! Can I hop aboard?
I'm 31+1 today with my first baby.
Self employed and hoping to keep working as late as possible.
Had SPD since about 13 weeks and now feeling very heavy and achey too. Nausea has returned but probably down to heat and everything being a bit squashed, as I just feel 'full of food'.
I'd love my OH to go to the spare room, even just for a night or two, but he isn't keen. I might smother him with my big pillow (joke!)

ErneyAndAgnes · 19/06/2017 13:32

MissBax yeah I think most 1st babies tend to be late rather than early. I just wish I knew when to expect him, I don't like surprises!

I am seriously hating this heat, I never thought I would be praying for rain in the British summer! I've got a fan on my desk pointed directly at my face, it's the only way I can cope as it's soooo hot in my office. At home it's feet in the dog's paddling pool. Sleeping at night at the moment is almost impossible because of the heat Sad

MissBax · 19/06/2017 17:15

Gosh I'm exactly the same - except the fan just blows hot air around!! I take a towel into the shower with me then ring it out and sit in it all evening, feet in bucket of cold water!

Hi I'm also coming up to 30 weeks and I'm very hot feeling very heavy 😓And uncomfortable and fed up lol

MissBax · 25/06/2017 09:53

Another week down everyone - the cooler weather has been a God send, I've actually been sleeping (yippee!)
Hope everyone is doing well and pushing on? Had my first NCT yesterday - I was apprehensive, as I thought it'd be really corny and twee, but it was actually pretty interesting and I learnt a few things.
We're on the home stretch now - keep going!!
