Could GTT be wrong due to metformin?

Hello all, I had my GTT around 4 weeks ago as I have taken metformin for the past 18 months due to suspected PCOS.

The test results came back negative and I was advised to stop taking the metformin which I have done, but have started feeling terrible, really exhausted, sick and shaky and can barely stay awake throughout the day.

My bump was also measuring large at my 31 week appointment. I have never really been overweight but feel like I am a huge lump at the moment and have gained a lot in the last few weeks.

Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar position or would have any advice to offer as to whether or not the GTT results could be wrong - I did take metformin the morning of the test so wondering if that might of affected the results?

Thank you Smile

I thought you had to be weaned off of metformin so that you give your body a chance to make sure that it can keep up with the sudden change.

Mind you I'm not 100% and the only contact I've had with metformin is with relatives who have diabetes and not pcos.
I think in your position I would definitely be querying it with your gp or consultant
