I'm at the opposite end; My mum and grandmother were sick for their whole pregnancies and I seem to have inherited it as well. Not everyone gets sick though with their pregnancies, And feeling nauseous is still a common thing. Although, sickness can come at any time so don't panic! Everyone is different. But always contact the GP if you're worried.

I was never sick when I was pregnant with my son. Twice I felt nauseous, that's it. He is a very healthy 2 year old. I'm now 5 weeks with number two and praying I'm as lucky this time round too!!

If you are feeling very sore, maybe you have indigestion as well as nausea. I know I had it very badly and felt a lot of pain so I couldn't bear anything touching my middle, like you describe. I didn't realise it was indigestion as I'd never had it before; I just thought that pregnancy nausea was painful.

One of the doctors I saw at a scan appointment at about seven weeks (I had some bleeding and they were checking everything was ok) advised me to take Ranitidine and although it didn't completely get rid of it, it made such a difference. I had to take it until eighteen weeks on that occasion and this time I only needed it until fifteen weeks when I felt much better. Luckily, I never got indigestion or heartburn at the end of the pregnancy like many people do.

Maybe speak to your doctor if you are in that much discomfort and see if they can recommend something.
