I had horrendous cramps early on and sometimes so bad it woke me up and I would need to walk about. Try not to worry unless there's bleeding.

Hannabee123 · 25/04/2017 18:22

Thanks ladies this is my first and I can't stop worrying Sad

Yes I did in my first pregnancy, early on and throughout first trimester and it worried me too, but O was reassured that it's within the normal range. X

Itsjustaphase84 · 25/04/2017 18:29

I remember getting them a lot with DC1, no bleed pregnancy fine.

I'm 5+1 weeks today with dc2 and I've had them on and off for over a week. They're awful, right in the centre of my pelvis low down like a heavy period. I remember having to gently rub my tummy to relax my muscles. It also felt like a stretching pain/sensation.

NetflixandBill · 25/04/2017 18:36

Yes. Period type cramps are very common in the early weeks, as long as theyre not accompanied by bleeding there shouldnt be any reason to worry.

Hannabee123 · 25/04/2017 19:48

Thank you it doesn't help I seem to have loads of trapped wind (TMI) Blush

Hopefully December hurries up I have a reason to be excited this year Grin

@Hannabee123 I know exactly What you mean.... Im sooo bloated and getting a bit of constipation as my digestive system is slower. Another common side effect!

user1493208966 · 26/04/2017 13:21

@Hannabee123 I'm also 5 weeks pregnant this week and I've been getting cramps every day since my missed period on and off so also been very worried!! From what everyone says it seems to not be much to worry about.

I do worry about not having another symptoms though, my boobs are a bit sore (they've been sorer!) and I seem to be quite tired, but nothing other than that. Have you had any other symptoms yet?

Hannabee123 · 26/04/2017 20:20

I just have achey boobs, bloating, cramping and tired all the time. I feel sick on and off but I'm never sick. I'm not doing too badly I'm just trying to make sure I give the little one everything it needs to develop Cake

I had the cramping too. When I gave birth I was pleasantly surprised that the contractions weren't actually much worse than the cramping I had had haha... that said the cramping was crippling pain and I was often on the bathroom floor in a cold sweat with them.. I thought I was losing baby or be ectopic but hd an early scan and all was fine. Had a heavy bleed at 13 weeks but all was fine again.. was so worried at the time though but I have now heard it isn't that uncommon and isn't always a sign of the worst or anything at all.. worth getting checked up though if you're worried.. may give you an early scan ti reassure you if they're not too busy x

I'm 4+3 and have a dull ache down my left hand side for a few days. Kind of seems to be running in a straight line between the bottom of my ribs and my hip. It's not really sore so to speak, more of a niggle

Hannabee123 · 28/04/2017 21:58

Its on and off really I've noticed I ache more when I need the loo but my boobs seem to be causing me more hassle as I go into week 6. My little one also doesn't like me eating sausage rolls. The thought of sausage makes me heave Sad
No bleeding everything is running okay.

Question for you ladies!!

Does anyone feel so tired and drained that it's impacting their day??
I don't know if it's the little one or work or both Confused

Yes me I am exhausted at work!! Could lie on my desk and sleep!! I don't remember it this much last time! Though I do have a toddler to run after now!!

Pixiedust2017 · 29/04/2017 02:37

Hi there,
I am 5 weeks on the dot today, I have been having pain and what I would consider "mild" cramps for the last week or so. My dr prescribed me nitro for a UTI 2 days ago and yesterday I was sent in to an emergency ultrasound where they found nothing at all (the US tech told me that there was no baby there at all and asked if I had even had a postive test, I have had 4 home +ves and a +ve Blood test) and I have another blood test next Tuesday. My pain seems to be mostly focused around my right ovary but kind of moves around a bit. So anyway hopefully this is "normal", would be nice if it was and even nicer if I could stop obsessing and worrying about every tweak that happens... I have had no bleeding whatsoever. We are just taking it all one day at a time... Looking back at this post it probably wasn't positive or helpful.. Sorry :(

cjt10 · 30/04/2017 12:33

I am 5+3 and I've been having cramps since before my period was due. I had awful period pains a day or 2 before period was due (must have been implantation) and since then just very light cramping. It's slightly different to period pains and comes and goes, never lasts long. Oh and my boobs are in agony! I am guessing/hoping this is all normal :)

Emma2803 · 30/04/2017 12:48

pixie that person who did the ultrasound sounds horrible!! I think you would be too early to see anything yet. Poor you, I hope your little bean is doing well!
My ache ( reluctant to call it a pain as it is barely there) is where my left ovary is and I ovulated from my left ovary. It's only just occurred to me that could it be the corpus luteum causing the pain?

Goosey84 · 30/04/2017 12:56

I had awful cramps at around 5-6 weeks, like a period was imminent! However, it was fine! I even had a tiny bit of spotting. The cramps then went and came back at 12 weeks with a little more spotting. Have had two scans since and everything is fine!

Hope the cramps pass soon x

Amy0789 · 01/05/2017 17:59

I'm so glad I've found this thread. I'm 5 weeks 3 days with my first pregnancy. I've had the worst cramps mainly at night for about a week now. Doctors seem to think this is normal and unless I'm bleeding not to worry.
I went to the toilet this morning for a no. 2 Blush and there was one tiny little spot and now I'm terrified!

user1493660139 · 01/05/2017 18:38

Hi.

I've had the same, and am 5 weeks pregnant as well. I worry all the time that it's a bad thing, but I keep on looking online and apparently it's normal....I have no other symptoms of pregnancy either so seriously on edge!

cjt10 · 01/05/2017 18:57

I have found that as the days go on, my cramps almost disappear. I am almost at week 6 now and cramps have pretty much gone however I do feel like death 🤢 horrible cold, dizzy and feeling very weak. I am hoping this is normal!

Hannabee123 · 01/05/2017 23:55

I might be miscarrying now I have urgent appointment tomorrow Sad
