i announced my pregnancy earlier this week and have been asked several times a day since then 'was it planned?' I'm assuming this is because i'm not married(?) although we do live together. Has anyone else been asked this? And what was ur response? (I personally believe it is no one else's business and just plain rude to ask!)

I always said, no but it's the best surprise I have ever had!

I got asked this a lot. I assumed it was because I was 19 and unmarried, but then I found out that pretty much everyone gets asked this, even if they've been married for 10 years and openly trying for a baby. People get awkward and ask stupid questions I think!

Congratulations :)

It's very personal.
I go for the "No, I accidently fell upon my husbands penis" approach.

I often wonder this question to myself but would never ever ever ask it 🙈🙊 some people are so cheeky!

I've been asked this constantly! It's because we're not bloody married. Neither one of us has any interest in marriage and it's never been an issue until reproducing then suddenly we've found out how deeply held traditional family set ups are valued. I just wish people would think it but not say it, I don't want to be talking to random workmates about how much we discussed it but I find myself getting defensive. Actually it's probably the most planned thing I've done in my life!
