Private scan wrong ?

Got told I was having a girl and after reading a lot of what people have said on internet starting to worry if it was to early to scan ..

It's so funny I think it's my hormones playing tricks on me I've never been this confused in my life! I said exactly that today only then I'll know what this little one is although I do have my 20 week tomo so I'll let you know what they say then if they can see x

3D scans pick up everything including bits of thick tissue floating in the amniotic fluid. That's why regular ultrasounds are routinely used instead.

Any gender scan can be wrong. Friend of mine was told she was having a girl.

I know quite a few people who pay for a private gender scan at 16 weeks and the staff get it wrong. Most of these places aren't even qualified to do the job. They aren't medically trained.

"It could be anything" lol but in there words she looks like a girl .. they never want to say 100 % do they I don't have a picture but my little ones bits look exactly like what you've posted so I'm pretty sure it's girly x

We had a 16 week scan and lets just say, she got a very good angle of him haha and spent time checking thoroughly before telling us. However, whilst we have told parents, we are waiting for our 20 week before telling anyone else.

Don't listen to the miseries on here moaning, it is your baby and your pregnancy! I would just wait until 20 weeks to get it checked again...mainly for your peace of mind! Good luck!

And Hardyloveit, my sonographer at my private scan is also a sonographer at my hospital - which is very common actually so check your facts before worrying this OP more

Well you were lucky then pudding! All three in my area ish pony all have medical training. The most used one - I had a friend work on reception and got trained up to do scans as they only do gender and not anything else that you have for normal scans. I've seen ads for the jobs too and know of one who set up by buying the equipment off a fb sell n buy local group! I didn't say every single one in the country. I'm just saying you don't have to be medically trained to work there n places abuse that! I wasn't scaring the op? She asked about the sex?
