Im currently 6weeks 4 days and morning sickness has just set in. (Well night time sickness). It starts at tea time and doesnt go til im asleep. Im not actually being sick but feeling it.

Anyway. I work 3 nights a week and the sickness feeling doesnt go away at all and i struggle to concentrate on my job while im feeling so crap.

Any tips on how to ease it? Ive tried Ginger biscuits, sucking mints, dry toast and not eating a big evening meal.

Thankyou

Hi,
I am in the same boat with morning sickness. I feel utterly miserable and have been off work/university because of it and don't feel up to going back yet.
My doctor has given me cyclizine today, perhaps you could give that a try?
I have only taken it once so far.

Personally, the only thing I could keep down was Lucozade. I hate Lucozade, but it gave me calories without making me retch.

I was sick up to 20 times a day but feeling sick is just as bad as being sick but you don't get the relief it's terrible morning sickness. If I could eat I'd suck ice lollys it stopped me feeling sick for half hour or so.

My absolute best advice is even if you don't feel like it ensure you eat something little every hour and take a few sips of water as often as you can. If you keep your blood sugar stable and keep hydrated you'll feel a whole lot better

Hopefully it'll go by week 14 ish X

I was very sick throughout my 2 pregnancies can't believe I'm considering a third

My advice is to eat little and often and eat whatever you fancy. I tried so many ginger biscuits etc. but the best thing was just going to the supermarket and seeing what I fancied and buying loads

DS1 I literally ate thousands of cookies (I once counted Blush )

DS2 I couldn't stand the thought of cookies and preferred plain chocolate or digestives.

I nibbled all day long, between being sick, and it definitely helped. I always ate throughout meetings too, using a million and one different excuses until everyone knew I was pregnant.

For a while I couldn't drink water but could drink squash.

Once I walked past a shop selling roasted chickens and bought a whole one for myself Blush. Was nice to dip in ketchup Grin
