I'm 21 and 15+2 weeks pregnant. I've always been quite overweight - I was 14st before getting pregnant, but I am 5'9, quite active and carry it mostly on my hips and chest. I'm just worried about weight gain, not really for myself but for the baby. I'm still staying active but I've found myself getting out of breath easier so I just do a lot of walking now and have a very active job where I'm on my feet for up to 9 hours a day. I can't stop eating too! Mostly carbs - bread, pasta etc as my nausea is still really bad, particularly in the mornings, and I'm having a lot of trouble keeping any fruit or veg down unless it's small portions.
Anyway, I'm 15 weeks in and already gained about 10lbs and I'm just a bit worried this is bad for the baby? I'm sure I shouldn't have gained this much since I was already overweight, I am trying my best to eat balanced food but finding it difficult. Just worried, is/has anyone else been in the same boat??? Am I worrying too much?
All my blood pressure and tests have come back and I'm perfectly healthy besides weight. But still worried.
