Heartburn!

anyone got any tips for the dreaded heartburn?

I've just had omeprazole prescribed by my gp after having suffered from heartburn through all 4 pregnancies. It's amazing. Gaviscon would work for me for about 2 minutes, the acid was waking me up 3 or 4 times a night. I got the omeprazole on Tuesday and haven't touched the gaviscon since!

I've really struggled with it this time round. I take a ranitidine before bed, and swig some Gaviscon advance (the behind the counter stuff)

The trick is to do this regardless of whether I think.im going to suffer or not.
