So I'm 7+2 days tomorrow and I've book an early scan! Is it normal to feel nervous and anxious! If everything is going well will they Defo hear a heartbeat? Thanks for any replies in advance :)

Thanks! When I have my rational head on i know it's silly to get worked up but it's all very new and a little scary! thank you for the reassurance

oliversmummy26 yeah I get what you mean! You know your body so if you feel like you shouldn't DTD or anything else then it's probably a good idea 😀 I know a lot of people stop in the first trimester 🙈 My OH is a little put off ATM.. but I'm not in the mood so it's not a problem 🤔

Jcd09 try not to worry even tho I know it's really hard! My symptoms kicked in about 5+5 days so you still have plenty of time to get lots of horrible symptoms

Jcd09 Hiya! We are literally at the same stage, first pregnancy for me and I'm five weeks today. Completely understand what you mean about feeling nervous, especially in the first 12 weeks when you've got the boost of the original BFP but no scan to make it seem real. I'm not really experiencing many symptoms, occasionally felt a bit dizzy and some mild stretching sensations in my tummy region (especially if I lean backwards) but until today if I hadn't had the BFP I probably wouldn't have even known. I've read loads of people who say that they haven't had any traditional signs / symptoms til much later so I'm going with that! Congratulations to you and hope it's continued good news for both of us Smile x

After over 5 weeks of anxiety and worrying I have booked myself in for a private scan on Thursday morning. Apart from sore boobs for the first few weeks and feeling Almere tired than usual, I just do not feel pregnant at all. I have convinced myself that there's no baby there at all despite 10+ positive pregnancy tests!!
The scan is costing £80 which is a lot of money for me, but I have to put my mind at ease and know that everything is ok. Hopefully then I can just look forward to the 12 week scan! I'm so bloody nervous for Thursday.

Thanks mummabubs, been having some mild cramps but no spotting, feels like things are stretching! You're right though, it doesn't feel real at all! Spunbodge I have looked at an early scan as my partner works away & wouldn't be home for 12 week & I think he would like some reassurance too!! Congratulations to you both. Thinking lots of happy positive thoughts for all of us Smile

Can I join you? Anxiety ramping up. I'm abroad so everything is paid for. They scan you as soon as you have a consultation, which is great (except for the money), but they found a big bleed in my uterus and so I've been having injections and taking progesterone for the past three weeks. It's made my symptoms (esp the nausea) horrendous. I'm not due to go back til next Friday (9+ weeks) and I keep feeling like 'what if something goes wrong between now and then'? Have to keep talking myself down from it as its ruining my time with dd(2.5). My pregnancy with her was much easier...

Flymo79 I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. It must be so much more difficult with your little girl to think about too. I hope that everything goes well at your next scan. Can't be easy being abroad either as I assume you don't have your family around either to help and support you. Thinking positive things for you

flymo79 · 01/02/2017 22:32

Thanks Jcd, we've been here six months and despite going home at xmas I haven't been homesick up until now! It is a bit sad if I think about it too much. Anyway, when is your early scan? Fx for you

Jcd09 · 02/02/2017 09:30

Still a few weeks away, the earliest I can book one is 8 weeks so it'll probably be a long three weeks! I hope that things look better at your next scan and that the progesterone has been working (despite he horrible side effects). Fingers crossed for you too. And i hope the home sickness gets a bit better too

Thx jcd, nice to have handholding while we all wait out the 12 weeks...!
