On October 29th I had had unprotected sex, although 114 hours later I took the ellaone pill (95% effective) and started my period that day, which was just as heavy as all my other periods and just as painful.. then on November 13th I had sex with a condom but was unaware that genital rubbing can cause a pregnancy (without ejaculation) but my doctor told me this was highly unlikely. 2 days later I got my nexplanom inserted, and had my "period" on the 30th of November and it lasted 12 days and was lighter than my usual periods and then got another period on the 3rd of January which lasted 11 days and was also lighter but enough to cover 2-3 panty liners a day, although my doctor told me this was normal on this form of birth control. I did not have sex untill 18 days after I got nexplanon inserted. Now, after reading through forums and googling upon googling I have got myself into a bit of a scare.. apparently some women can have a normal period throughout pregnancy and not know they're pregnant?! I did not have tender breasts or morning sickness although now about 12 weeks later I have heart burn(side effect of nexplanon) and I have taken 5 hpt that have all been negative but I seen on a forum that sometimes the tests won't work this late in pregnancy and can give a false negative result? Surely the result would be positive if I was for that long? Is my worry irrational?
