As above really. Have gone from being pretty constipated to having really bad cramps and the runs. Sickness is worse as well. I've been on amoxicillin for tonsillitis this week so it could be that, but I'm really worried as I often get this before a period. Worried it's the precursor to a miscarriage. Am I being silly?

Might be worth calling your GP or out of hours GP just for reassurance.

I had a stomach bug at about 10 weeks and no damage to me or baby. Anti-biotics can cause upset stomach as well.

I had an evil stomach bug last week. Spent the whole time panicking it was pregnancy related. Sometimes it's just bad luck- I guess it's easy to forget that bugs are common at this time of year when pregnant, I know I did! Chances are all is fine Smile

Hi, I had a really bad upset tummy from about 6-7 and a half weeks, it was awful constantly on the loo, really bad cramping the works! After week I rang my midwife and she said it was probably a bug and that if it ran over into 2weeks to make a dr'a app. After about 10days it just stopped on its own. I'm now 10+2 and vary from very regular to constipated so I thinks it's rarely normal for our bowel movements to be effected by pregnancy however if you're really worried, give your gp/midwife a ring and they will be able to advise you the best. Also make sure you're eating when you can and drinking plenty. Hope you feel better soon xx
