Period cramps!!! 36+was

I'm 36 weeks and a few days and Iv been having period cramps all morning!! I have been to see my midwife and she felt my tummy and said he's very low and if they get worse to phone mau..... has anyone's labour started this way? My last two were inductions at 38 weeks and it did not feel like this

I had Braxton hicks that felt an awful lot like period cramps, but I was also induced.

Very early contractions do feel like period pain (it's the same muscles doing the same thing but on a different scale after all)

Got them now Grin 40 weeks tomorrow. They started at around 1.30am and have been pretty consistent since then, but they aren't getting worse.

My contractions felt like sever trapped wind very low down with my last labour and that was soon after the drip went in. However they have eased now after some paracetamol

They came back as I was doing the house work but are easing now I'm resting. How are yours doing trifleorbust

iv had this all week! have been checked over twice and theyv said it defiitely isnt contractions; more than likely braxton hicks or an upset tummy! im almost 36w so very close to you and it is totally horrible now!!

They have been easing off then coming back all day but never got any more painful

I'm getting braxton hicks and low backache daily now I'm 37+5 and really wish it was labour lol

iv been the same! daily; never get any more painful just there! wish it was labour too!! fed up of the uncomfortable feeling all the time!

I'm 37+2 and being have this the last couple of days. They started at work and I thought I was going into labour!!

Been ill this week with a cold so think it might be aches and pains.

A warm bath helps me.

My baby now feels super low! I can hardly bend over and it hurts to just walk around I get so much pressure and pain on my cervix. No more cramps yet though

Mine were very regular all day yesterday and looked like full-blown labour but they eased off in the middle of the night - managed to get some sleep and everything! Good luck!
