I'm currently on maternity leave from a job I won't be going back to (havnt told them that yet, but I only receive basic SMP anyway so nothing to repay). My husband is opening a new business soon and I'm wondering if il get in trouble for volunteering there? I technically own part of the business but will be taking no money from it at all, I'd like to help out a bit but wouldn't want to risk getting in trouble or doing anything illegal. So if it's unpaid is it ok?
