Worrying about work more than pregnancy

As the title really.

I'm 36 weeks and very shortly finishing work. I've always been over anxious about making mistakes at work, but I was hoping with the pregnancy progressing I'd get more perspective and realise work is not the be all and end all.

I got myself so worked up today about something very minor, to the point of tears.

Does anyone else feel their perspective is wrong? Not that I want to get over anxious about pregnancy but I feel I should be more focused on that, especially at this stage.

Pregnancy hormones make us do many things! Stay calm and if it gets to much step back and look at the big picture:) how are you feeling? With my first baby I was focused on work so much and it took my waters to break in work to make me take a step back! Lol X

Am 32 weeks and cried twice last week, once in front of work people!

It's a big change and tough to get used to. Am also super tired and worn out from the travel.

Not long to go now!

Yep! My line manager gave me some very fair constructive feedback and I ended up crying in the loos Blush

He wasn't horrible at all but I think it was a mixture of tiredness and hormones!

I've always been this anxious at work - i think I've been disappointed with myself that I am consumed as much as ever and I thought my priorities would shift a bit and i'd see trivial work situations aren't as important as getting ready for the baby, my health etc

thank you for the replies - I think i am expecting too much on top of late pregnancy, hormones and tiredness etc!

Alex - I sincerely hope waters don't break at work, what an experience!.Smile

Take care, breath , take a hot bath, and talk about it to people as it will help! Work is nothing in the big picture, I wish I knew that at the time xx

thank you. I hope I do learn to see the big picture, I have visions of my baby having a cold or something, and my brain saying 'never mind that you put the wrong date on a spreadsheet disaster!!'
