I'm not sure if this is normal or not as google has not helped at all on this issue, but I've just got home from work and I felt a bit wet down there so I checked and it's mid-ish thickness white cm with a metallic smell, i check more often than is normal how I smell down there so I know it's new and I'm panicked as in my sleep deprived state- metallic obviously means blood which obviously means bad. I'm roughly 5 weeks so it's super early but I haven't had any spotting yet. Has anyone else experienced this? Being pregnant and life long constant worrier is hard! Tia Flowers

I should add that I've also had a small amount of cramping and a sharp cramp when kneeling down.

For me, that's how my discharge smells in general as I've always had a lot but even more so in pregnancy because there was yet another increase.

It sounds to me like it's just a stronger general odour because of an increase. A lot of women find that during pregnancy they have so much discharge that they often feel very wet, sort of as if your period has started witrhout warning sometimes!

As long as there is no foul smell, it's white/clear and you're not having bad abdominal cramps or spotting I'd say everything is absolutely fine. You can always run it past your midwife on the phone if you want to but it sounds totally normal Smile
