Has anyone tested Negative but still been Pregnant???????????????????

Hi I wondered if any one can shead any light on my situation!

I am 16 days late. Done a test a week after I was due and BFN. Last Thursday I was sick in the morning (and still am now)so done another test BFN again.

Today, I am still sick, awful dragging pains down below, tired and my nips are huge. BFN again. The doctor is sending a sample to the hospital tomorrow morning.

I have all these symptoms but nothing is showing i'm preg. I feel like i'm imagining it all!!

Help!

never happened to me, but they say the test can miss the hormone, so a negative can be a positive, but not the other way around!!
Lets see what your Dr gets!!

yep..... tested neg on doctor and hospital tests, gynie couln't feel anything during internal, couldn't see anything with abdominal scan, did internal scan and found dd.... 9 weeks and 4 days old

with ds i got a faint pos at 10 weeks but don't think i would have gotten anything sooner

yes it did with ds2 i must have done countless tests over a 2 week period before finally getting a faint bfp

when I fell preg with DS it was a very faint positive.

So fustrating! I just want to know one way or the other!

With DD1 I tested 4 days early and got a positive. With DD2 I had 3 negative tests over about a 4 week period then a positive finally

I had a negative with dd2 and the following week a positive! I think I tested too early to show?

don't want to be the voice of doomb but try not to get your hopes up.

went through similar in May of last year, even gp said she thought I was pregnant, had simptoms, sickness/tiredness and was on the verge of being sent for a scan because all the tests were bfn and my af arrived a month late.

Similarly there was another poster who went through the same at Christmas and whose af also arrived the next month.

It does happen but IMO it's more unlikely than likely especially if you are getting such strong simptoms as it's the hormone that causes the simptoms thus it would be more likely to show up on a test.

Yep happened to me,

Day period due did a test as had a feeling i might be pg, was neg, did a test the following week and very faint pos+, infact thinknig about it, i must have got pg late in my cycle as from a scan they said i was a week less than i thought (from last period) weird!

Happened to me

Yes me - twice. I tested again a few days later and got two positives! Now have two children to show for it! [SMILE]

i've been testing over a two week period!

Yes! Negative with home test; huge BFP from hospital blood test two days later.

Yes, negative few days after AF due, positive few more days after that. But still negative after 16 days? Can understand your frustration!

but i'm ok which ever way it turns out, it will happen eventually! (positive thinking you see!)

You're quite right about the positive thinking (I know, life coach speak here - but that's what I am!). Whatever happens, don't go and join the Hut Of Doom. Please post to say what happens ...

Pee test at docs was neg. I have to wait another two weeks now!
