Does this look like a cord to you?

Was wondering if this could possibly be the cord. To me it looks pretty large to be testicles. I was only 16 weeks at the time. I have also read that a girls parts can be swollen this early on and can also be mistaken. If this was a boy, shouldn't there be an extra slimmer bit dangling off, not just a lump? The sonographer said he thinks it's a boy, but to me that's not very reassuring. The NHS didn't confirm as baby was in an awkward position and could tell. They checked twice but no luck. Read too many stories on google I think. Thinking of booking a private scan, but what do you ladies think? Definite boy, or could be cord?

With my 'between the legs' shot, her buts had 3 lines right in the middle between the legs which meant girl. I think your sonographer is probably right although it is difficult to see on your photo what the 'blob' is. If you are desperate I'd book a private scan.

It looks like Testicles to me, boys are born with really big ones that do eventually go down.

Scan of my DS looked very like yours OP!

Looks completely different to my 2 girls scans, which had the very definite three lines.

Looks like a boy to me.

Looks like my sons scan, I think it's definitely a boy :)

Got a scan booked in for 12:30 today. I think it is a boy too but my mind wouldn't rest until I knew for definite!

That's what mine looked like and we were told it's a boy too. With my first yes there was a dangly bit floating about, ha, and he was definitely a boy. But I'd like to think that if you see enough scans you know what you're looking at. Most of the time.

I think it's to do with how much depth the 'sonic waves' (is that what they are?) is giving. I think if they press down harder the clearer it is. Like we saw our baby's ear perfectly clear but then he pressed a bit more and it showed his brain etc. iyswim.
