Pregnant - is Bali safe?

I am due to spend Xmas with my family in Bali this year. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant. I know Indonesia is on the moderate risk list for Zika. Does anyone know where the cases were and if Bali is actually infected? As you can imagine I really don't want to miss this family Xmas but clearly don't want to risk it Zika is present... Anyone know how I can find out this info? I will of course ask my dr but won't be seeing them for another 4 weeks. Thanks.

Doesn't look like there have been cases. Maybe check with your midwife.

I wouldn't risk it!

I went to the Maldives and it was on the map and then taken off. The newspaper reports about Bali are 4 months old, so lots could have changed in that time.

The NHS report it as moderate risk.

It's tough. I was only happy travelling as it was moved into a low risk category before I travelled.

Thanks Bella. It is a tough one! Guess I'll wait a few more weeks and see if it gets taken off the moderate risk list. Fingers crossed!! I'll be gutted to miss it!!
