Maternity tights - any bargains?

I bought most of my maternity tights on eBay last time round but I'm not sure I can be bothered. I've spotted some £3 opaques in Asda but don't know whether they do them instore. Anyone spotted any alternatives? I mainly want black opaques with some pale skin and some navy opaque.

Primark had a reasonable selection.

I just bought a pack of two from h&m for £7.99 which are good, well, better than ones from jojomaman Bebe which were extortionate in comparison and just fell down.

I wondered about primark Caz. They were only starting maternity when I was about full term I think. Tried looking at their website but can't see anything.

Thanks elmo H&M sounds like a reasonable bet and I know they have a small maternity section in my local store.

I bought the £3 Asda ones but have no idea if they sell them in store. I didn't have to wait long for delivery though.

Were they alright Terri? Was the sizing as you expected?

Primark normal (non maternity) 100 denier tights in a size bigger are great. I wore them right through my pregnancy and they were really comfy.

I bought the asda ones, and they're absolutely fine. Bargain at £3 a pair. Don't think they do them in store but you can collect at store.

Timeforachange I'll probably do that to start, but found that some primark tights were a bit short in the body for me towards the middle to end of pregnancy so I wanted a higher waistband.

I really like the George at Asda black 60 denier ones. I bought a few pairs online and am really impressed by them. However, I don't like their natural ones at all as they laddered on the first wear and weren't a great colour.

I wasn't sure on sizing so bought medium and large (I'm 5'5 and a size 12 pre pregnancy). I found the medium ones rolled down over my bump through the course of the day and I was forever pulling them up. The large ones fit perfect and stayed put all day.

Thanks for the sizing info, I would have expected it the other way round.

Wear hold ups instead!

I've never had a great experience with hold ups staying up and I feel a bit sleeker in tights. If I was more body confident and lived somewhere warmer, it'd be a solution.

I have the Asda ones and they are fine, although a little thinner than I'd expect for 80 denier. I'm a size 8/10 pre pregnancy but 5"10 so I always buy large tights for the length. The large maternity ones were just fine (I'm 29 weeks).

I got some from primark that were reduced to £1!. I haven't tried them yet as I an only 8 weeks but their normal tights are fine.

I normally live in primark tights, pref 100+ denier.

My local m&s in-store yesterday. plenty of stock. (they don't stock maternity generally, only tights and bras)..£6 down to £1.49
