Wisdom teeth removal during pregnancy

I'm asking on behalf of my step sister who is pregnant with baby 3.
She's got terrible wisdom tooth pain, but says the dentist won't do anything as she is pregnant.
Is this true or can she have them out whilst pregnant as she is in loads of pain?

I had a wisdom tooth removed when I was about 14 weeks pregnant. As long as local anaesthetic is used I don't see why there would be a problem.

This was in March this year, by the way, so very recently!

Has the dentist said why? When my wisdom teeth were removed, they were impacted and I needed to have a GA so I can understand why that couldn't have been done during pregnancy. However, if your step sister needs a straightforward extraction and is prepared to go without certain/any painkillers, I don't see why the dentist can't do it.
