How to date my pregnancy

So I found out on the 26th that I'm pregnant off a cheapy morrisons test I then clear blue tested it the 27th of August and got a result of 3+.

My periods have been very hit &I miss lately, I had one the 27th of June then had a very light 2 day bleed almost spotting in July on around the 25th. When would my pregnancy be dated from? My 1st missed period was the 25th August. So far I'm getting lower back pain & sickness if that's any indicator. Sorry I'm completely new to this and terrified

I think they'd date you from the July bleed. Go see your GP. Maybe they can figure it out from your HCG levels in your blood?

I think you'd have to have HCG levels done or a scan. Did you do any tests around the end of July? It's possible you're about 4-5 weeks or about 8-9 weeks if you were pregnant from that June cycle.

Do you think July might have been an implantation bleed?

RedheadBeth · 01/09/2016 14:03

I'm not sure if it was an implantation bleed it was so light so I'm not sure. I didn't know Hgc level checks were a option

I'd date it from July. Things will become clear at your first scan anyway. Congrats!

Call your local community midwife - usually at the doctors and get put on the system - they will send you for an early scan to 'date' your pregnancy at your nearest EPC. Then you'll be totally sure and you can get booked in at 12 weeks and get the 12 week scanned booked too- just in case you're 8-9 weeks already. In my experience, tiredness and sore boobs will kick in at 5 weeks + and from 6 weeks + the sickness starts (if you're getting any) as once the baby implants and the HCG level rocket it usually triggers sickness. Congrats on your pregnancy.
