7+2 measuring 6 and some spotting

As above and just looking for some reassurance after an MC in February. I am 7+2 but went for scan today after bleeding last night and an measuring 3.7mm with no jeartbeat but a white spot... (So 6 weeks). Stressed, worried and in limbo with nothing I can do. I was already feeling very anxious about the pregnancy and am now up the pole. Had anyone measured this much out, had bleeding and been ok? TIA

Not quite the same but I recently measured 7+0 weeks when I thought I was 8+0. We saw a HB (which I think would be unusual to see at 6 weeks), so certainly you can be a week out on dates and still have a healthy pregnancy.

My sister had bleeding throughout two pregnancies, one of which ended up in m/c and one ended in my lovely niece.... so it's very hard to tell - will they give you another reassurance scan in a week or two, so they can see if there is any growth/a HB?

Thanks light. Yes, they are scanning me a week today. Started losing clots now. Just a waiting game I guess. Thank you so much for your experience - it's giving me some hope X

Might be worth calling them back if you are losing clots? FWIW I think my sister did too even in her good p/g (turned out to be some kind of issue around the cervix - she had a minor op and that sorted the bleeding for the rest of the pregnancy), but if you are having a m/c then there may be different ways to manage it or they may be able to scan you sooner to tell you what is going on, so at least you know, or if you are losing clots for another reason it would be worth knowing about too. Do you have a number for your local Early Pregnancy Unit? They should be able to advise you on what to do - some of them you can go to directly, others you need to be referred by your GP.

Fingers crossed for you - please don't be afraid to call them back to get more advice if you need it, or book into your GP xxx

Thanks light. EPU have been amazing. I called them back and they said to wait til morning and they would rescan me but if I started to soak pads or be in a lot of pain to call them back. I'm not hopeful but thank you so much x

It's really scary. I was on holiday with my MIL for my first m/c last autumn and we hadn't told her we were expecting. I hadn't even told my parents yet and just didn't feel I could handle her concern (she is very nice but a bit over the top and talks non stop - I just didn't think I could deal with it). In a way it was good not being able to dwell on it and having to act "normal" but in a way it was a bloody nightmare.

If you are bleeding overnight one thing that is really good to get is those Tena sheets you can get - about the size of a tea-towel to protect your bed at night, or you can even sit on them etc. They are for incontinence but they work for bleeding too. They are good as temporary/disposable change mats for when you do have a baby too (or to put under cot sheets in hotels etc) so hang on to the rest of the pack. Made me feel much better in a B&B. You can get them from most pharmacists I think, with the other Tena/incontinence stuff. Luckily although I was 9 weeks pg when I had mine I think the pregnancy must have been less advanced, and it was just like a really heavy period and not too painful/crampy, so hopefully if this is a m/c you will be the same.

Will keep fingers crossed that it is good news for you: either way at least you should know soon. Glad your EPU are being supportive. I think not knowing is actually the worst bit (or was for me, everyone is different) xxx

I'm so sorry to hear this m33r - I particularly remember how supportive you were one of my threads about bleeding (I'm still in limbo), so I'm so sorry. Look after yourself and take things slowly.
