Wwyd? Waiting for MW home visit

I was meant to be having a home visit from my mw at 10.30 this morning. She still isn't here. I totally 100% that things can happen and she could be needed elsewhere and I never expected her to arrive bang on time.

However a) she said I'll come to you at 10.30 then you'll be first on my list and you shouldn't have to wait
B) it's now over 2.5 hours late

Wwyd?

Do you have a number for her? If so i'd give her a call and speak with her or leave a message. If not, i'd try the surgery or wherever she is based and leave a message there.

Don't have a number for her. It's only the second time I will of met her due to my mw changing during my pregnancy and she never added her number to the front of my notes. I could call the office number but I don't want to be a nuisance.

You should call the office if she still hasn't shown up. It's not being a nuisance, it is making sure you get your appointment and there may have been a mix up at her end.

I would call the office then leave if you need to go. You would not be a nuisance calling to let them know.

I'm waiting for my midwife to call me back. I called at 8.30 this morning Confused

If you have somewhere to be then go, she'll have to come back another time. If you're just at home anyway and have no plans then I suppose it's not the end of the world.

Rang my dr's to check the community mw office number, called the one they gave me and it was 'max fax theatre 4' no idea.

Rang the number on my notes again and spoke to someone on the 'parents education line' !?!? She seemed to know about the midwives tho and looked on the system and said I wasn't down for a home visit today and she hadn't actually seen my mw in today.

I had issues in my pregnancy. got picked up by an ambulance the one time. The paramedics tried to call the number on my maternity notes and it was the wrong number. Good job I found that out before I went into labour. They had a right issue getting the right number too
