If you hadn't have done the test, you would still assume you've miscarried, and you say you were only just coming to terms with the miscarriage - but there must have been a niggling doubt to make you test.

All you can do is wait and see, but I think if I were in your position , I would assume I've miscarried, even though that is incredibly painful.

sazzybee · 28/01/2007 13:50

How horrible for you lissielou. I agree with belgo though - I'd assume the worst if I were you. Don't get your hopes up.

God - what a hideous rollercoaster this has been for you. Take care of yourself x

CakeandFineWine · 28/01/2007 13:53

Hey Lissie

You sound like your having a difficult time hun

I agree with everyone else don't get hopes up too much and and see what is said on Tuesday but if your really concerned pop to Dr's tomorrow and discuss it over with them, at least you might get some reassurance?

What test did you use? I know the first response ones are more sensitive than the ones used at the Gp's?

lissielou · 28/01/2007 13:54

well, i was still feeling sick and getting headaches, and my boobs and belly are still swollen

Hi Lissie. I don't want to confuse you further, but this is just to say that I bled several times heavily in my last pregnancy, and that each time the foetus appeared healthy on ultrasound. The medical personnel had me down as a mere bleeder when suddenly the baby died anyway. Apparently some women do bleed heavily. The only way you can tell whether you are still pregnant or not is by having a scan. Sorry not to be more use.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 19:04

thank you, still feel sick (have for 2w now) and still got migraine. the weirdthing was the test was so much darker iykwim

You won't know until Tuesday. It may well be that your test is more sensitive than the doctor's (NHS issue) plus you are only just past your period date, which means that different tests may well perform differently. It is really quite common for women to bleed around the time their period would have come anyway. Which is not to say that everything is fine, just that is might still be.

lissielou · 28/01/2007 20:34

thank you duchesse, been googling bleeding like crazy, feel im losing the plot here

hi lissie - have no advice for you but just wanted you to know i'd read the thread and am thinking of you.

sazzybee · 28/01/2007 20:51

Bleeding in pregnancy is the vilest thing ever. There is so little information about the number of women who do bleed and everything is fine (and there are a lot of us).

But maybe it's because they don't want to give you any false hope. I don't know.

I do know that the wait for the scan is the longest wait in the world.

I have everything crossed that it will be okay for you.

gothicmama · 28/01/2007 20:52

lissie thing of you

SoMuchToBits · 28/01/2007 20:54

Hi lissie so sorry to hear about this... really hope everything works out OK for you.

xx

lissielou · 28/01/2007 22:43

should i test in the morning then?

OP posts:
theheadgirl · 28/01/2007 22:54

Been following your thread Lissie, and just wanted to wish you well, its such a difficult situation. I can't see you'd be much wiser if you tested in the morning, the only sure thing is to wait for your scan. Sending lots of love xxxxx

Rosylily · 29/01/2007 11:06

How can you stop hoping? It's impossible.
I hope you are not disappointed but if you are, you can deal with it then. All the best.

FurryFox · 30/01/2007 12:20

Just wondering if you have had your scan yet lissie? Am thinking of you.

MrsMcJnr · 30/01/2007 14:09

Thinking of you Lissie, how are things?

chocolatebirdy · 30/01/2007 14:14
