Am i pregnant????

Hi all.
I done an asda test last night and both lines were faintnbut positive. Within about 10 minutes the test went blank and i just put it down to being a dodgey test. I done a test this morning and there was also a faint line. Although i done a clearblue test and it showed negative this afternoon? What should i do next? Am i pregnant or not?

I would be so grateful if someone could help me with this. I am on the pill and took my pill through my last break as i was going on holiday. I was too laid back with taking it on holiday and i done a test as a just in case. Im happy either way with whatever result. Im not due on until august 12th so i have a good 3 weeks yet, what do i do? Should i come off my pill now or wait?

I'd say that's a definite positive. Your wee isn't as concentrated in the afternoon so may have less pregnancy hormone to make the test positive and some are less sensitive than others too. Try another over the next few mornings with your first wee and the line will get darker. Congratulations!

Oh and it sounds to me like you conceived during your last cycle because it wouldn't show up over 2 weeks before your period. I would say stop the pill and try and see your GP

Are you doing the tests first thing in the morning? During the day the hormones in the urine become diluted so may make the line fainter.

You won't be sure until you're AF is late, which will be a while yet.

Regarding the pill, IMO I would continue. If you are pregnant you are in such early stages so it's unlike to have an impact. However you're not TTC so stopping the pill will likely make you end up pregnant in the longer term, which if you're not ready for isn't advisable!

Different pills work in different ways so you're ovulation date will depend on this. Wait a couple of weeks and retest. Hope you get the outcome you want!

I agree with MrsCrankypants. There's no way you could find out this early, so if you were pregnant then the baby would have been conceived before your last period.

However, with that being said, I think the other test would have also showed positive if this was the case as your hormones would have had enough sufficient time to build up by now since your last period.

When I took my test, it too was also very faint. I suggest going to the doctors and having a blood test done, and perhaps taking in the test with the faint line on it to show them. Good luck!
