Week 10 here and am bored of feeling ill (whilst being grateful obvs)

1.Healthy food i.e. vegetables, pulses, fish (normally huge health freak)

  1. Woman's hour
3.Sex 4.Music 5.Socialising 6.Long journeys 7.Tidying/cleaning/washing clothes
  1. My spiritual life
9.Reading 10.TV 11.Coffee/tea/butter 12.Shopping 13. Hosting

I feel so ill all the time, I can't enjoy anything I don't feel depressed as such just unable to enjoy anything because my minds taken up with bleugh feelings.

I do like; my bed, texting, the internet, my job Confused (weirdly, as I'm a primary school teacher, somehow the children take my mind off how awful I feel) and water with lemons in.

Anyone else?

The first trimester can be tough but it does get better. You are nearing the end now, hang in there.

bumblebee86 · 28/05/2016 20:16

I've been feeling pretty rough for the last 4 weeks, feeling sick all day (although thankfully I do have some better days now) so tired all the time and I have also gone off wanting to socialise with anyone, travel anywhere far or visit anyone. I'm hoping as the weeks go on all these ease and I feel a bit more like myself soon.

Hope you start to feel a bit better soon too x

Bigfam · 28/05/2016 20:26

Tea and coffee, tidying and the smell of absolutely EVERYTHING

Bigfam · 28/05/2016 20:28

bumbleclat & fancy seeing you 'ere (away from our huge December thread!) Wink

Loulou980 · 30/05/2016 02:56

I went off exactly the same things apart from tea, I started drinking that again I was caffeine and milk free before.
Also a teacher and strangely work was the only place I felt ok minus a few dashes to the loo. Cleared up and I went back to normal about 20 weeks

BikeRunSki · 30/05/2016 04:16

For me it was (both times)
1- all food
2- all drink
3 - being awake
4 - personal hygiene
5 - standing up
6 - sex

I was really very poorly

QforCucumber · 30/05/2016 04:21

I went off chicken - made me feel so sick. And bring awake, sleep is underrated (definitely know this now with a 10 week old)

KayTee87 · 30/05/2016 13:56

The first trimester was awful for me too, I felt so ill and tired I just didn't want to be pregnant anymore (which is awful as this is a very much wanted baby). I'm now 32+3 and although it's hard to sleep with a big bump I feel 100x better now than at the beginning. It does get better Flowers

Boomies · 30/05/2016 19:41

I think it was about week 10 that I felt so awful I got to the end of the week and realised I'd not washed my hair for 7days and couldn't remember when I last showered (😳)...I think that was the same week I could only keep down mash potato! Now at almost 6months I basically feel entirely normal, aside from the lovely wiggling in my tummy! It gets better I promise!

bumbleclat · 30/05/2016 21:01

Bigfam Hello from MASSIVE December due date thread, at least a lot of us are in the same boat, I just can't believe what a moaner I've become, Im normally so independent and cheerful.
Lovely to hear that it does pass.

Bigfam · 30/05/2016 21:03

Apparently there's 127 of us on there Shock
I've had a really crap day today with sickness again, but was fine yesterday.

MrsMarsch · 30/05/2016 21:05

I'm due mid December and I'm feeling shitty too OP. Hand holding and hugs coming from this way, I've been a mardy, antisocial cowbag and told DH he's never having sex with me again! Fingers crossed this ends soon for all of us xx

Bigfam · 30/05/2016 21:07

MrsMarsch, are you on the Dec thread?

ricecrispies16 · 30/05/2016 21:17

30 weeks here -

  1. anything remotely energetic!!

I'm so tired!!

ThinkPinkStink · 31/05/2016 13:51

Oh god, me too! I'm 22 weeks now and feeling a whole lot more 'normal' but I empathise SO HARD!

1.Healthy food i.e. vegetables, pulses, fish (normally huge health freak) - me too, it was beige food all day every day, brocolli tasted of dirt... I can't even. In good news in my second trimester I'm all about berries.

  1. Woman's hour - there was a focus on prostitution in my first tri, I wept.

3.Sex - even a fumble was out of the question.

4.Music - try some Mowtown.

5.Socialising - in fact 'leaving the house' in fact... 'not sleeping'

6.Long journeys - see items 5 above.

7.Tidying/cleaning/washing clothes - I became averse to the smell of PERSIL - I LOVE the smell of clean washing.

  1. My spiritual life - I have hours of pregnancy related yoga audio files - thus far ignored.

9.Reading - ditto, I haven't read a book in five months (this is an enormous rarity)

10.TV - ditto (if I was sitting, I was sleeping and Save the Children/NSPCC/Dog's Trust/Oxfam ads left me a heaving mess of tears)

11.Coffee/tea/butter - I've just got back into coffee now - I drank a LOT of chamomile tea in the first tri.

12.Shopping - see item 5.

  1. Hosting - I'd get to the end of a weekend, and apologise profusely (and tearfully) to (patient and not remotely annoyed) DH about how I realise that I'd done nothing except sit and sleep.

Keep the faith - it gets better, I absolutely promise you!

bumbleclat · 31/05/2016 14:48

ThinkPinkStink Thank you, other people's stories are all Ive got to hold onto, Its now 3pm and I know the day is downhill from here.
Its like I can feel the nausea slowly rising all day. Luckily I am sleeping through the night so that's something.

Bigfam · 31/05/2016 18:04

I've found that if I eat too late the night before, the next morning I vomit and can't eat, cue the whole day being awful. It honestly makes me feel better when I eat & don't let myself get hungry.

TipBoov · 31/05/2016 18:08

I used to LOVE broccoli, garlic and green beans. I cannot stand them now, and the smell of them cooking makes me heave.

Cheese I could take or leave, now I love it!

bumbleclat · 31/05/2016 19:11

Bigfam I know what you mean, it's so disheartening to wake up and just know that the day is a write off, I normally wake up and just see it as an opportunity get things done or do nice things but today was definitely not like that.
Roll on 2 tri.

I'VE GONE OFF YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS! SadSadSadEnvy

How am I supposed to eat a roast dinner?!

cnchapmanxx · 01/06/2016 04:58

Red meat!
Burgers, mince, meatballs, steak anything green and healthy I can't remember the last time I ate veg! All I've lived of is jam on toast, carbs more carbs and chicken!
The smell of alcohol - I was on holiday last week and the smell of anything remotely alcohol made me gag especially when Oh breathed on me Grin

FirstTimeMummy25 · 01/06/2016 05:05

I had this up until about 13 weeks! The smell of sweet perfume used to make me reach as well! A girl at work always used to wear it tho so wasn't great lol... Hopefully you won't have long left of feeling like this:)

bumbleclat · 01/06/2016 10:03

Thank you FTM two weeks to go (every day feels like 3 days)

FirstTimeMummy25 · 02/06/2016 20:51

Awwww bless you! I hope it doesn't feel like too long... You tried ginger? That's suppose to help? Maybe you could try some crystallised ginger in hot water? Or ginger biscuits?
Lemon water used to help me a bit.
