I'm desperate to feel my baby move - 18 weeks today. After 4mc's, this time between scans is awful. Movement will reassure me that everything is ok in there.
So when did you all feel your first move? I know it's normally between now and 20 weeks - just curious.

saying it can be more dangerous and cause more anxiety - a lot of people mistake their own pulse of the babies heartbeat or have no idea if the rhythm they're hearing is a healthy one.

I think you'd have to be pretty daft to mistake your own pulse for the babies considering the difference in speed. I guess she's right about the healthy rhythm thing but on the other hand just hearing that it's there is a massive reassurance. As long as you're aware it doesn't mean everything is 100% ok I think there's no harm in it, personally I like the reassurance that it's still there and alive. If you think it would just cause more stress though then of course it's your choice - I do think the midwife is being overly negative though.
