I did hypnobirthing and spent some time in the pool but didn't like it, most of my labour including pushing and giving birth was out of the water, you don't need water for the hypnobirthing techniques to be beneficial.

The majority of my hypnobirthing was out of the water, first stage. By the time I got to the water most of my hypnobirthing had gone out the window! (16hours of doing it).

Most of my birth was also out of the water (was only in it for 15 minutes!) - you should be fine!
