When did your morning sickness start?

Hi, I'm interested to know when people's morning sickess started.

I'm currently TTC I started feeling nauseous last thursday which if I'm right was a few days after ovulation, everything I'm reading is telling me that this is way too early to be a pregnancy symptom and most likely ovulation sickness. I'd not heard of this before and am not aware of having it before, seems odd it would wait till we started to TTC to show itself. At the minute I feel like I'm travel sick on and off throughout the day with stronger waves of nausea at times sometimes triggered by sight or smell of foods so far, raw meat, corination chicken and vinegar. Not had any actual vomiting yet.

Too early to test yet, interested to know other peoples experiences of morning sickness or ovulation sickness.

7 weeks. The anxiety of waiting to test can make you feel nauseous though. Good luck.

omri · 10/05/2016 00:14

Yes about 7 or 8 weeks here too. Good luck x

TheJiminyConjecture · 10/05/2016 00:21

Week 5 both times. But I had HG both times which meant I was hospitalised by week 7 so makes sense it started early I suppose

RockMeMomma · 10/05/2016 00:25

The day before I was 7 weeks pregnant. It lasted until an hour before dc was born.

OurGrowingFamily · 10/05/2016 02:03

About 6 weeks with my daughter. Approx 6/7 weeks with #2 and only occasional sickness feeling so far!

shopaholic85 · 10/05/2016 08:02

6 weeks and it was quite severe, with actual vomiting. I still have it at 9 weeks, but I'm vomiting less.

Slumberparty · 10/05/2016 08:15

Started at 6 weeks for me.

twoshoes86 · 10/05/2016 08:19

6 weeks onwards. I did have an icky tummy and wind in the few days before I got a positive.

useyourimagination · 10/05/2016 08:21

I didn't have it at all with any of my pregnancies. I think I was just lucky though.

MyBreadIsEggy · 10/05/2016 08:21

6 weeks both times. It carried on until 28/29 weeks first time round, with 4 hospitalisations Sad but I'm 15 weeks with #2 at the moment and my sickness stopped about 3 weeks ago Smile

Northernlurker · 10/05/2016 08:26

I think you are imagining it tbh OP. Morning (or all day) sickness is triggered by your body's reaction to a growing pregnancy. Like others here I was 6-7 weeks with all of mine.

RaeSkywalker · 10/05/2016 08:26

Just before 5 weeks. I also have HG and have also been admitted to hospital, so I'm probably at the more severe end of the spectrum.

chelle792 · 10/05/2016 08:33

Mine started about 3 days before i got my bfp. Happened last time too. Not doing too bad at the minute but I'm only five weeks now

BeardMinge · 10/05/2016 08:48

Didn't have any morning sickness at all at any point, it's not a given.

Chlobee87 · 10/05/2016 08:55

Mine started about 5-6 weeks, peaked at weeks 10-11 and started to subside by week 14.

When we were TTC, I thought I was having all kinds of symptoms but I think you just become hyper aware and then you get worked up which can make your body do strange things. Easier said than done I know but you're best not even thinking about.

Skiptonlass · 10/05/2016 08:55

Three days before I got a positive test, which was 9 Dpo.. So roughly a week after conception max?

I was sick at least ten times a day, every day, up until the day I gave birth.

That's hopefully not going to happen to you. :) you can be sick very early though. It's practically impossible to say at this point whether what you're feeling is hormonal fluctuations from a cycle, a pregnancy or even something you've picked up.

One thing I will say is that I'd been on hormonal contraception for years. Low level (mirena) or the pill, but once I came off it and started ttc I too noticed much stronger hormonal effects. I dont know whether this was psychological or just because I hadn't had a true cycle in years

Good luck!

Chlobee87 · 10/05/2016 08:55

*about it

LucilleLeSueur · 10/05/2016 09:01

Never had it with dc1 and dc2 but this pregnancy it started about 7dpo.

The pregnancy itself was a huge surprise (we were using protection and it was the wrong time in my cycle) but I still knew I was pregnant. Didn't get a positive test until about 11dpo but I tested from about 6dpo as I was so sure!

Smile150 · 10/05/2016 09:54

I found out I was pregant at about four and half weeks and started feeling sick about 5 weeks to six weeks I'm nine weeks now still feel awful

purplefizz26 · 10/05/2016 10:07

6 weeks until 6 months

Tazlet · 10/05/2016 10:14

At about 6 weeks - now nearly 6 months and have managed to keep 2 meals down the entire time and constantly feel sick. This side of being preggers sucks!

Willberry · 10/05/2016 11:27

Thanks very much guys, pretty sure I'm not imagining it as it is a strong feeling and doesn't feel like a bug, but can easily accept it could be my bodys response to the hormones of a normal cycle after stopping the pill. Hoping that doesn't mean I'm going to feel like this every month till we concieve. Wont mind if it means I'm pregnant, but seems a little unfair if I'm not lol.

Mine started at week 6 or 7 I think xx

Tazlet · 10/05/2016 11:48

I was very very sick at the start very suddenly after just finding out I was preggers (unplanned) and I think I nearly swang for my mum when she suggested it was all in my head!

Twinklelittlestar1 · 10/05/2016 12:45

Six and a half weeks for me. I'd felt great up until then!
