Hi

I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks due to IC so had a stitch placed at 12 weeks. Everything was fine and I am now 25 weeks. I may be wrong but I think having an elective stitch placed early is to stop the cervix opening at a later stage and not to close one up? Speak to your consultant if worried though! Best of luck xx
