Harmony Test vs standard NHS

Hi,
I'm 8 weeks with an IVF baby, very very anxious it will all go wrong.

I'm considering paying for the Harmony test (bloody test to check for downs, Edwards etc) but am not sure what comes as standard in the NHS and am not due to book in with midwife for another 2 weeks.

Any advice?

A quick Google brings up 'This is my' clinics that seem to offer this for £320. Does anyone have any experience of these clinics?

I think those clinics do not offer a scan if you read the small print.

Got harmony with both pregnacies for me I'm not interested in a best guess I needed to know for sure and harmony is almost 100% accurate apart from mosaic Down's in some rare cases.

Blue I moved house at 11 weeks but I self-referred to my new trust for my 8 week booking in so I had continuity of care. They are fine with that. It's better that way as the appointment for the 12 week scan is usually made at the time of booking in.

Of course that doesn't work if your new house is very far away and you can't travel to the new trust for appointments.

INeed I had an early reassurance scan at a This Is My clinic and they were amazing. Beautiful, state-of-the-art place with very friendly, kind staff.

I know it's an entirely different kind of scan but just in terms of the place and the service, I'd highly rate it.

I had the test at This is My in Leeds. It actually wasn't Harmony but Serenity which is the same test. We paid 395 and got a detailed scan (where they reduced our risk there and then from 1 in 20 to 1 in 120) and results took 10 days but only because it was the easter bank holiday. Is definitely recommend them they were very good.

Does anyone know if NHS Scotland offer the early gender testing with the new downs blood test or is that only available with harmony?

Any information is much appreciated!

Im 39 and with NHS came back 1in 5 of downs, the worry etc was horrendous. I was booked for amnio but i was also bleeding so thought it wasn't worth the risk it came with.
I paid 400 pound for Harmony and came back 1in 10.000 for all 3 trisomys.

I wish id just gone for the harmony in the first place.

Congrats BTW
