Has anyone taken antidepressants throughout their pregnancy?

I have been on 30mg of ''Mirtazapine'' for over a year now due to severe depression. I am currently 19 weeks (20 on Friday) and my GP recommended that I do continue my medication as he said that it would be for the best.
He did as my medication is such a new drug, there hasn't been many trials done on it so they aren't too sure if it's 100% safe or not.
He did state that because my baby will have withdrawal from my medication he/she may have to spend some time in hospital to be monitored.
Of course, I worry about my baby's health, but I am so scared of relapsing if I stop taking them.
Any positive pregnancy/birth stories of mama's who have taken antidepressants during their pregnancy?

@wineislife21 hi!
Yes, I took antidepressants on both DDs , short stay in hospital for observations but all fine. I now have 2 very healthy, happy , cheeky and thriving girls! (5 years and 3 years) good luck xxx

I've had one on fluoxitine and one on sertraline. My consultants didn't even hesitate. The danger of untreated depression is real, and often overshadows any tiny risk associated with medications. One baby had slight withdrawls (the fluoxitine one because I had to stop breastfeeding suddenly so no tapering down). He was a bit jumpy for a couple of days, so we swaddled him and cuddled him until it passed. Both children super healthy and I'd do the same again in a heartbeat. Stay on whatever keeps you well and be kind to yourself.

Yes, Sertraline throughout, I was so worried but everything was fine and she is perfect

So glad to hear this ladies. I've already reduced my mirtazapine intake to 7.5 mg (from 15) in preparation to fall pregnant. The pharmacist said I could try an alternative but I've felt like mirtazapine has been so good for me that I'd rather lower the dose and then go back up after birth (particularly if the dreaded PND creeps back in again).
I think it's a shame they can't say more about them being safe, I guess they don't want to get sued if something was wrong 🤷‍♀️
